Our Social Impact

La’Fun Empowerment Initiative Foundation

At the heart of La’Fun’s work is a commitment to giving back and creating real opportunities. Through the La’Fun Empowerment Initiative Foundation, we focus on empowering African youths and creatives with practical skills, knowledge, and access to resources that support long-term growth and sustainability.

The Foundation is dedicated to create Artista Hubs for Artists In Ireland and around the world. And most importantly, youth empowerment across Africa, with a primary focus on individuals aged 18 to 45. Our programmes are designed to equip participants with relevant vocational, technical, and creative skills that respond to today’s evolving global economy.

We are currently piloting our skills empowerment programme in Nigeria, with training already taking place. This pilot phase will guide the expansion of our programmes to other African countries in the future.

Our empowerment focus areas include:

Vocational and skill-based training

Renewable energy skills, including solar technologies

Digital skills such as IT and AI awareness

Business and entrepreneurship development

Creative and practical trades such as catering, decoration, hair styling, makeup artistry, and event management… surport with starter pack for self relances.

These initiatives are designed to foster self-reliance, innovation, and employability, creating pathways for participants to build sustainable careers and businesses.

Artists Hub Initiative

In addition to youth empowerment, La’Fun is committed to supporting creatives through the development of Artist Hubs in countries where our events take place.

The La’Fun Artists Hub is a creative and professional space designed to support artists across music, film, and other creative disciplines. Each hub will be developed in alignment with the host country of our events. For example:

  • Events hosted in Ireland will deliver…. an Ireland-based Artists H
  • Events hosted in the UK will deliver…. a UK-based Artists Hub
  • subject to funds and funding availabily.

Each Artists Hub will provide access to facilities such as:

  • Film sets (including hospital rooms, classrooms, living rooms, and other adaptable environments)
  • Rehearsal spaces
  • Meeting and collaboration rooms
  • A cinema-style theatre space with seating for approximately 200–250 people, enabling creatives to screen and showcase their work
  • A cinema-style theatre space with seating for approximately 200–250 people, enabling creatives to screen and showcase their work

This initiative is rooted in lived experience. As artists ourselves, we understand the challenges creatives face…. limited access to spaces, resources, and professional environments. The Artists Hub is our way of giving back to the creative community, providing practical infrastructure that supports artistic growth, collaboration, and visibility.

Our Commitment

Through the La’Fun Empowerment Initiative Foundation and the Artists Hub programme, we aim to create lasting social impact…. supporting youth development, empowering creatives, and strengthening creative ecosystems wherever La’Fun operates.
